In 1974, Maruman started the development of the golf clubs based on the metal mold manufacturing technology learned from our experienced lighter productions, and announced innovative carbon shaft "PARSEC ".
At that time, domestic market totally relied on imports. However, Maruman has been engaged in developing domestic golf club futuristically.
It was believed that the golf clubs were made of persimmon trees.
Maruman completely broke down this widely believed concept, and announced the first metal wood series "Dangan" in Japan.
It was treated as heresy at the time. But now, it becomes mainstream of golf clubs
"DANGAN" acquired the first patent for golf club development.
Since Maruman took out the first patent at the same time as the announcement of the first metal head "DANGAN" in 1980's, Maruman has continued to acquire a lot of patents. And we are now applying for a patent for the technology that reflects nano-technology.
